Energy Americas, LLC
Energy Americas, LLC is a technology company founded by former researchers from the University of Missouri. We develop innovative solutions for sustainable food production and clean energy generation.
Our technologies include advanced poultry production systems, environmental control, waste-heat recovery, geothermal energy applications in food processing and storage, robotics, and artificial intelligence (AI) for poultry production. Research and development efforts have been supported through competitive programs of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
The company is committed to addressing global challenges in food security, energy sustainability, and rural economic development. Through continuous innovation, we help producers lower costs, improve productivity, enhance animal welfare, and reduce environmental impact.
Our long-term mission is to support rural communities around the world by improving nutrition, strengthening local food systems, creating economic opportunities, and expanding access to sustainable energy.
Portfolio
Geothermal System for Food Production, Processing, and Storage
Researchers and engineers at Energy Americas have extensive experience in designing and implementing geothermal heating and cooling systems for food processing facilities, cold storage warehouses, and agricultural operations. Our systems reduce energy consumption, lower operating costs, and provide reliable year-round temperature control.

Large-scale cold-storage and distribution facility conditioned with a geothermal heating and cooling system.

Coca-Cola Sparkling Plant
Innovative geothermal system providing efficient heating and cooling for beverage production operations.

Cargill Turkey Brooder Farm
Geothermal heating system installed and tested with support from the U.S. Department of Energy.

Lee Kum Kee Fementation Facility
Hundreds of soy sauce fermentation tanks heated with geothermal energy as an alternative to fossil fuels.
Energy Efficiency in Agriculture Facility
Supported by research programs from the U.S. Department of Energy and the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Energy Americas developed an advanced waste heat recovery system that significantly reduces heating fuel consumption while improving ventilation and indoor air quality in poultry production facilities.
The technology helps farmers lower operating costs, improve bird welfare, and enhance environmental performance. Eligible producers may also qualify for cost-share assistance through USDA energy-efficiency programs.

Robotics and Artificial Intelligence for Poultry Production
Energy Americas is developing advanced robotics and artificial intelligence technologies to transform poultry production. By reducing reliance on manual labor and shared equipment, these systems lower initial facility investment, improve biosecurity, enhance animal welfare, reduce operating costs, and support safer working conditions.
Robotics and AI enable more efficient farm management while reducing the risk of disease transmission and improving overall profitability. The technology is designed to support both new farm construction and the modernization of existing production facilities.
